Saturday 31st July (day 13)
Today’s venture to town by bus was interesting and mildly exciting as we are unused to bus travel. I am no stranger to a train commute but the seats on regional buses are somewhat narrow and winding streets and roundabouts provide something like an alternative to the rides at the Ekka for us oldies.
The community markets are small but the produce although limited is lovely and much of it has not been refrigerated. Bananas, plantains, some wonderful tiny zucchinis, broccoli, two of the juiciest and most delicious pink grapefruit ever, and capsicums and tomatoes were our choices.

I was interested to try the food van that had prawn pies, but Geoff preferred not to dally as we still had to top up some pantry items at the supermarket before heading back to the boat.
